Wedding & Event Season Prep: The 8-Week Glow Timeline
Eight weeks sounds like plenty of time. Until it isn’t.
Event season has a way of arriving fully formed: invitations, dress fittings, venue cards, and suddenly you realize that “I’ll sort my skin out before then” was a plan with no actual plan inside it.
Here’s the timeline that actually works; Not the rushed version. The intentional one.
Why eight weeks matter;
Skin doesn’t perform on demand. It operates on cycles.
Your skin renews itself every 28 days. Treatments that tighten, resurface, or stimulate collagen need time to work, settle, and look natural rather than freshly done. Eight weeks gives you room for multiple treatments to layer properly without overlapping recovery periods.
The treatments that build your glow
Forma Facial (Radiofrequency Skin Tightening);
Non-invasive radiofrequency that heats the deeper layers of your skin, stimulating collagen production and tightening tissue. No needles, no downtime, just gradual firming and improved skin texture. Results build over weeks as your collagen remodels.
B12 Shots;
Intramuscular vitamin B12 for energy, cellular function, and that “slept well, hydrated, life together” glow that no amount of concealer replicates. You feel the difference within 24-48 hours, and it shows in your skin’s vitality.
CryoProbe (Cryotherapy for Skin Tags, Milia, Sun Spots);
Freezing technology that removes minor skin imperfections cleanly. Small bumps, stubborn milia, flat sun spots gone. Treated areas scab and heal over 1-2 weeks, leaving smooth skin.
Lymphatic Facial Massage;
Manual drainage technique that reduces puffiness, sculpts facial contours, and moves stagnant fluid out of your face. Immediate visible results. Your cheekbones reappear, under-eye bags shrink, and your jawline sharpens.
Diode Laser Hair Removal
Targets hair follicles with laser energy, reducing unwanted hair growth over a series of treatments. Perfect for spring event season when skin is showing and you don’t want to worry about shaving or waxing.
Now, here’s when to book them;
Weeks 8-6: The foundation phase;
Start Forma Facial sessions.
Book your first session now. Forma works best as a series of 4-6 treatments spaced 1-2 weeks apart. Starting early means collagen is actively remodelling by the time your event arrives. You won’t see dramatic change after one session, but by week 6-8, the skin will look noticeably tighter and smoother.
Begin Diode Laser Hair Removal (if doing a course)
Laser hair removal requires multiple sessions spaced 4-6 weeks apart. Starting now ensures you’re at least 2-3 sessions in by event time. Hair grows back finer and sparser with each treatment.
Book CryoProbe for any imperfections
If you have skin tags, milia, or small sun spots you want removed, do it now. The treated area needs 1-2 weeks to heal and another week for any residual redness to fade completely. This gives you a 4-6 week buffer before your event.
This phase is about laying the groundwork. The results aren’t dramatic yet, but they’re building.
Weeks 5-4: The refinement phase;
Continue Forma sessions
By now, you should be 2-3 sessions in. Your skin is responding, collagen is remodelling, and you’re starting to see improved firmness and texture. Keep the momentum going with your next session.
Add B12 Shots
Start weekly B12 shots during this phase. They boost energy, improve cellular function, and give your skin that vital, healthy glow. By week 4, you’ll notice improved skin tone and overall radiance.
First Lymphatic Facial Massage
Book your first lymphatic drainage session. This reduces any puffiness from stress, travel, or poor sleep. It also preps your skin to respond better to the treatments in the final weeks.
This is where your skin starts looking noticeably different. Tighter, brighter, more refined.
Weeks 3-2: The glow phase;
Final Forma session (if doing a full series)
Your last Forma treatment should happen no later than 2 weeks before your event. This gives collagen time to fully settle and integrate.
Continue B12 Shots weekly.
Keep the energy and radiance going. By now, people are asking what you’re doing differently.
Second Lymphatic Facial Massage
Book another drainage session 10-14 days before your event. This ensures any lingering puffiness is gone and facial contours are at their sharpest.
No aggressive treatments from this point forward. You’re in Polish mode, not intervention mode.
Week 1: The final week.
Final Lymphatic Facial Massage (2-3 days before event)
Your last lymphatic session should be as close to your event as possible while still giving skin time to settle. Book it 2-3 days before for maximum definition and minimal puffiness.
Final B12 Shot (3-5 days before event)
One last energy and radiance boost. You want to feel as good as you look.
No new treatments
This week is about maintaining what you’ve built. Gentle skincare, hydration, SPF, rest. Leave your skin alone.
By week 8, here’s what your skin should look like:
Tighter, firmer texture from Forma’s collagen remodelling, Defined facial contours from lymphatic drainage, Smooth, clear skin with any imperfections removed, Radiant, energized complexion from consistent B12, Less body hair (if doing laser) with finer regrowth
The buffer week rule.
Life happens. Stress breakouts, unexpected sensitivity, and a treatment that needs a follow-up. Always build in one week of cushion if possible.
Eight weeks' work. Nine is safer.
The reality check.
The best event skin isn’t built the week before. It’s built in the weeks when nobody’s watching, when there’s no pressure and no panic.
Start now. Book the series. Follow the timeline. Your skin on the day will be the result of work done weeks earlier.
